Planting for the Future

Planting for the Future 900 600 Eco Superfoods

Work Christmas parties usually consist of your typical boozy long lunch or dinner at some extravagant location, followed by copious amounts of alcohol. This naturally leads to lots of headaches the next day and people waking up with instant regrets about how they behaved in front of their fellow colleagues. It hardly instils a healthy culture within a business! Here at Eco Superfoods we decided to break the mould and flip the “traditional” Christmas party on its head. No alcohol, instead we replaced it with fresh air. Planting trees whilst immersed in nature. Higher frequency kind of stuff!

Green Christmas Party

What we got up to

We set out by bus to the beautiful Tallebudgera Valley with a day of planting native Australian plants ahead of us. Under the direction of park rangers we set to work on carefully extracting the plants and relocating them to an assigned regeneration area. This provided us a great opportunity to work as a team whilst learning about the area, forest rejuvenation and the importance of native plants in a fragile ecosystem.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility

This event provided the perfect time to reflect on Eco Superfoods’ mission and values of :

Progressive Health. Fitness & Lifestyle Solutions. Ethical.  Environmental. Innovative.

We care about the environment we live in and the people and animals we share it with, and as the title of this article suggests, we are looking toward the future and always searching for ways to progress not only as a team but also as a company. Always looking for ways in which we can improve our products and processes, along with minimising our carbon footprint and ensuring we have a positive impact on this planet.

Better for you, better for the Earth

Plants are not only a healthy source of protein for you, but they are a highly sustainable, healthy choice for the Earth too. We use only the highest-quality, GMO free, 100% plant-based ingredients. Plant proteins such as pea, rice and hemp, use less water, land and energy resources than used in the production of whey protein. As well as being greener, these proteins are cleaner too as their production process cause less waste and pollution than that of animal proteins.

Manufactured with Green Energy

Keeping in line with this consciousness, we have nominated to receive 100% of our energy needs for our manufacturing and offices from Green Power energy. Standard fossil fuels are finite resources which means they take millions of years to develop and then continuously diminish with use. Our choice of energy resource is renewable, meaning it is naturally replenished and therefore, can’t run out. Sadly, over 85% of Australia’s energy is still generated from fossil fuel which causes harmful pollution. As a business we are proud to be reducing our carbon footprint and caring for our Earth, and will continue to do so in other aspects of our operations.
